Tell grease where to go
AyrKing's exclusive grease extraction filter is incorporated into
every hood we build. Cooking vapor enters the slot horizontally
and is abruptly directed downward, then back upward. This redirection
occurs as the air is traveling at a high velocity, creating a significant
centrifugal force on the grease particles within the vapor. Grease
is driven onto the baffle of the filter and drains to a totally
enclosed trough below. Grease never drips from the hood to the cooking
surface - a common problem with hoods that have slanted filters
or open trough designs.
No restrictions
This patented open-slot filter design does not restrict air flow
from the cooking equipment because the filter cannot become clogged
with grease. The range hood continually maintains the proper capture
of the cooking vapor. Other types of filters can become laden with
grease, severely inhibiting the hood's ability to collect the cooking
vapor and smoke.
Easy to clean...Hard to hurt
No tools are required to remove the AyrKing filter. All surfaces
of the filter are easily accessible for quick, thorough cleaning
in your sink or dishwasher. We manufacture filters and hoods to
withstand the abusive environment of the commercial kitchen. 16-gauge
stainless steel and all-welded joints and seams ensure long-term
quality performance.
Proficient grease removal without excessive air removal
AyrKing's grease filter is highly energy efficient. The filter is
UL classified, to achieve grease extraction at lower air volumes
than a traditional hood system. Since the hood is not removing large
volumes of air from the building, equal amounts of fresh outside
air need not be brought in and conditioned. This means significant
energy cost savings and a cooler, cleaner kitchen.
