Louisville, KY — December 9, 2025 — AyrKing, a leading manufacturer of food preparation equipment for commercial kitchens, has hired Sophie Wegenast to its engineering team as a mechanical engineer.
Wegenast will be responsible for producing drawings, prototype testing and other tasks that strengthen AyrKing’s engineering capabilities and support business growth. She will work closely with the team on key food preparation projects, helping grow the company’s innovation pipeline by solving real-world back-of-house challenges for customers.
A graduate of the University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering, Wegenast brings several years of hands-on and computer-aided design experience to the AyrKing team.
