Louisville, KY – October 2, 2025 – AyrKing, a leading manufacturer of food preparation equipment for commercial kitchens, has added two mechanical engineers to its engineering team: Alex Baker and Rushi Bhakta.
Both new hires join AyrKing as Mechanical Engineer I and will be responsible for designing, developing and testing mechanical components and systems for food preparation machinery. They’ll ensure the systems meet performance, safety and regulatory standards while optimizing efficiency and durability for commercial kitchen environments.
Baker has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems, maintenance and equipment repair. Prior to his hire, Baker was an engineering intern at AyrKing, where he quickly proved to be a valuable contributor to the team. A retired Army combat veteran originally from Ohio, Baker earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from East Coast Polytechnic Institute.
Bhakta brings AyrKing valuable experience from his work in the Additive Manufacturing Institute of Science and Technology lab at the University of Louisville. A graduate of the University of Louisville, Bhakta demonstrated the ability to quickly understand the business and procedures during his internship with AyrKing.
