Disassemble motor.

  1. Power off and unplug the sifter.
  2. Remove the brush, screen, and brush cover from the housing bay.
  3. Remove all hardware securing the control board enclosure.
  4. Lift up the cover to expose the internal electronics and timer board.
  5. Locate 3 bolts inside of the bay that houses the sifter and screen. Unfasten bolts using a 10mm wrench, rotating counterclockwise to release the motor.

Remove drive coupling & key.

  1. Gently pull the motor out to expose the drive coupling, taking care not to stress or disconnect the electrical wiring.
  2. Place a flathead screwdriver or other wedge between the coupling and the white plate, tapping the handle with a hammer to loosen the coupling from the shaft. Once the coupling is sufficiently loosened, remove it from the shaft by hand.
  3. To remove the old key, place the flathead screwdriver on the top edge of the key. Tap the handle of the screwdriver with a hammer to dislodge the key from the shaft.

Replace with new coupling & key.

  1. Align the new key with the hole in the shaft, tapping it in with a hammer until it is secure in place. About 3mm or 1/8 inch of the key should show over the edge of the shaft in its final position.
  2. Attach the drive coupling to the key by aligning the corner of the coupling with the corner of the key to lock them into place. Hammer the end of the coupling until it fits securely.

Reassemble motor.

  1. Put the motor shaft back through the hole and replace the 3 bolts into their original position inside of the brush bay.
  2. Replace the sifter screen, install the brush to the coupling, and top with the screen cover.
  3. Plug the sifter back in, and test to make sure that unit performs as expected.
  4. Replace the hardware to secure the control board enclosure.
