Check to see if emergency stop button has been activated.

  1. Lightly turn the red emergency stop button clockwise to release it.
  2. Test unit to see if the issue has been resolved. If not, continue troubleshooting.

Open internal housing.

  1. Ensure that the Marinator is powered off and unplugged.
  2. If the Marinator has never been opened, slit the silicone seal around the base with a knife or other sharp blade, cutting away from your body to avoid blade-related injuries.
  3. Unscrew all 4 screws around the top perimeter of the housing and remove the top plate.

Modify internal wiring to bypass emergency stop button.

  1. Locate the internal side of the emergency stop button, a small red plastic part connected by one blue and one black wire.
  2. Slightly loosen the screws that hold the wires in place.
  3. Remove the black wire on the left and mount it on the same screw as the blue wire on the right.
  4. Tighten both screws.

Test emergency stop bypass.

  1. Plug Marinator back in and start unit.
  2. If the Marinator starts, the stop button is faulty and needs to be replaced.
